Satan is obviously the good guy. I mean, he only killed ten people! But whenever I say that, people look at me funny. :(

Yeah, the story of Satan makes God look like a real asshole.

I don't think Satan is obviously the good guy, I just don't think the God of the Old Testament is, either.

I mean, at the very beginning - he basically punishes people for seeking knowledge. That's not my kind of deity.

I kinda like to think Jesus showed God the Father what it was like to be human and that made Him go from scary to nicer.

That's actually a nice way to see it (not that I necessarily agree, but I sort of appreciate the thought of a God being changed by his creation).

lol we just finished talking about Paradise Lost in my British Literature course a couple of weeks ago. At the beginning of the text, a lot of people in class seemed pretty surprised that Satan was a fleshed out character and one guy was like "Wait, is Satan the protagonist??"
