True! This MRA stuff is definitely a sign of insecurity from a group of men who want to go back to the bad old days, the same way as neo-nationalism is a sign that society in general is becoming less racist (slowly).

I don't care if women like cliched bodice rippers. I'd even read them myself if I could find a good one.

I even gave that 50 Shades of Gray a go (or at least the fanfic that inspired it, I wouldn't pay my good money). It was the grammar and appalling writing that put me off long before anything else. I'm adult enough to be able to tell fantasy from reality, thank you very much.
