Uh, obviously not - because "little sister" is literally the meaning. If "Fezzik" were some actual word with the literal meaning of "person who solves problems" or whatever, then your analogy would fly.

Personally, though I wouldn't be a big deal to me, I'm not in the OP's shoes and I can see where it could be interpreted as hurtful. Suggestion to discuss the situation with the mom: reasonable. "Wah wah, suck it up and deal because it could be soooo much worse": you poor baby with your mommy issues.
