Is there a word for this?

[personal profile] caerbannog 2014-12-18 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Or a phrase?

You write up something, you hand it up, it comes back with direction on edits to make, you make the edits, you hand it back up again, it comes back with edits - to change it back to what you originally had?

I expect this to be happening the rest of my life, I'm just wondering if there is a word for this that I can use.

Bonus points if it makes me sound smart.

(and anyone have words they'd like?)

Redundant. An exercise in pointlessness. Better unrefined.

Is there a word for that? Anywho, I have always had a soft spot for the word "lilt" although I can never say it in a sentence without sounding like the fruitiest jerk in the world.

My manager calls it 'pointless bureaucracy" but I'm sure there's a fancier word or phrase out there. The kind where you hear the word, pause, think about and then realise it's perfect.

In other news guess who's undoing their edit.

IKR? In my fanfic writing days, I noticed that a disturbing number of people who think they're grammar mavens have no clue what passive voice is, and they'd flag things as passive voice that just...aren't.
