Normally this type of stuff doesn't bother me but I really can't stand the Senshi/Shitennou ships in Sailor Moon. Like I really hate them which isn't necessarily an unpopular opinion. However, I still think that the manga is the truest canon material and that people who say Crystal is more canon than the manga are wrong. I also think that just because in one art book Takeuchi drew the Senshi/Shitennou together and mentions she had thought about doing but chose not to because of time doesn't make it canon in the manga. Neither does a small memory in Sailor V (by the villain) showing Minako talking to Kunzite or Jadeite saying Rei's beautiful make it canon. Implied canon at best. I'm so tired of people sending me messages about this on tumblr.

Casablanca Memory (a side manga by Naoko) is canon and it outright shows that Rei had a crush on someone because they resembled Jadeite.

No she didn't. She had a crush on Kaido because he doted on her in a way her father never did. He was the one who bought her gifts and put her father's name on it. He also said that he wasn't interested in marriage something that Rei said she wasn't interested in explicitly. Rei felt they were kindred spirits. She feels betrayed by him when he does end up getting married. Partially because she liked him but also because she thought she'd found someone who felt the same way about romance/marriage as her. She saw him becoming her father.

There is literally a panel where a ghost of Jadeite is shown next to him. I'm sorry, but no, some of that was because he resembled Jadeite.

I'm not a big fan of the pairings, but Kunzite/Minako was canon iirc. There's a small memory of her saying she was in love in Sailor Moon manga itself and in the next panel it showed Kunzite. It was canon in a past life, but that's it. At least when we're talking about the manga.

People who claim Kunzite/Minako is canon bother the hell out of me because the only source we're given is second hand by a guy who's butthurt that Minako was making eyes at someone other than him.
