Okay no. This might be true to you, but this is definitely not true for the anon below who responded to you, myself, or many other people in relationships. Not everyone has the "I would do a shitty thing if I wasn't caught" mindset. Some people are able to put themselves in other people's shoes and realize they wouldn't be able to do a horrible thing because they know how much it would hurt if someone did it to them.

I've been in a closed monogamous relaitonship for years. I did have opportunities presented to me by others in which I would never get caught. And I was never tempted by any of them because it's a shitty thing to do. I know how much my partner would be devastated if I did such a crappy selfish thing, and I know how hurt I would be if they did it to me when such a opportunity presented itself. It's really easy to empathize with your partner on this if you actually care about them.

I'm not saying people like you and anon below don't exist, I'm just saying i think you're a minority. Not a marginal minority, but a minority nonetheless, if you take into account a whole lifetime.
