Certain of your choices matter quite a bit. I've managed three runs, and they've all turned out pretty differently wrt the world state by the end.

(Probably the most significant choice you can make to affect your playthrough, though, is which side to ally with in the mage-templar war. The quests and NPCs for each option are incredibly different.)

The mage-templar war is absolutely a major one, but I have a feeling some of the things I did (like...what happened in "Here lies the Abyss" and the whole Divine decision) aren't going to have a major impact, just...varying degrees of difference. Which, okay, is most BioWare games, but to me it felt like I had fewer choices. (I'm wondering how the choices from this game are going to upload to the keep, and how many of these will make it into a future game. The war table stuff especially since...well, I'm not sure I could even tell you how half of my war table missions turned out.)
