I think it's great when non-conventionally attractive actors get cast. But it's creepy when people then shoehorn them into conventionally attractive forms (like McKay or Ianto Jones suddenly being slender and delicate, or everyone swooning over how dreamy and heroic they look). Much healthier to embrace your love of the offbeat!

Rodney Mckay introduced me to a whole new world of body type. (I used to prefer slender men, much like Sheppard, but now I like my guys solid with a bit of a belly). The receding hairline doesn't bother me :)

Same. I don't know if he's the full cause of my change or was just the final push, but now I like guys with his sort of build. "Solid" is a good description of it, like you said. Solid with a cute little bit of a belly.
