I suffered a brain injury in 2008 and I can no longer read physical books. I had to give away the library I'd been cultivating since childhood. It sucked rocks. And I would still never judge someone on their pleasures.

It's like someone with a knee injury telling someone with a good knee "I judge you hard for not playing soccer, my beloved sport." I mean.

I empathize with your disability, obviously. I have daily migraines that can attest. I'm very sorry and hope you can find supporting strategies to help.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm the anon above, also with brain problems. For two years I couldn't see well enough to read books, or even have the concentration for it. I agree, it sucks so much!

What got me through it was listening to hours and hours of radio plays/comedy/audio books on BBC iplayer. Most of them are available around the world wherever you are, I think (unless they've changed it). And all free.

I also took up photographing flowers, as I let the camera do my seeing for a while.

The best of health to you in future.

Thank you for the link, anon.

I'm glad you found some new options to explore. My brother loves photographing wild flowers here in California and posting them to his blog. Apparently there's a whole fandom devoted to wildflowers and finding and identifying species. :)

Sending good health wishes your way as well.
