Hah, well I could never "shoot through a novel in an hour". I can tortuously drag myself through it over the course of a week,if it's not too big and I'm lucky. My average time for reading a book is about a month. I'm sorry to whatever is making you not be able to do something you once enjoyed, but fact is, anon, I just never enjoyed it in the first place.
