The top results on the tumblr tag tend to be pretty safe, at least in my experience. Maybe OP follows some troublemakers.

I've seen visiting BSN on and off for years. It isn't always terrible; I've seem some legitimately good discussion raised over there, but there's lots of shit to wade through as well. It isn't for everyone, but I was around after ME3, so... The Inquisition board seems nice in comparison.
