That's true of vaginal sex as well. If you're nervous and tense you're probably not going to get wet and relaxed. Penetration will be unenjoyable at best. Take your time, enjoy some foreplay and try again later.

SA: Yep, that falls in line with my experiences and those ones I've heard. Though experience and "everyone's body is different" also counts. Even with more experience and being turned on, I still don't find it as easy as those friends, or as easy as a friend who had lots of trouble in the beginning but now can do it at the drop of a hat.
