Ok, and? If people don't want to pay the price you set then that's too fucking bad for you. Again, stop trying to make a living from something that's very costly to make but not very valuable to most people.

You can't just be like "NO BUT I PUT LOTS OF EFFORT IN TO THIS YOU HAVE TO VALUE IT HIGHLY!" Thanks, but no thanks. You can't fault people for not wanting to buy your shit.

I charge $25 PER HOUR, and the pictures I produce take multiple hours to finish. I pay my rent. It's good times.

The secret is to have an ability that people want, and have something that no one else can bring to the table, that way, no one else can undercut you, and people have to come to you for what they want. If they can't afford it, they can save up.

Yes, I am a fandom artist.

I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about in general. A big thing in fandom is whiny assholes feeling like they should get everything they want for free in fandom.

You can practically paint the next Mona Lisa, and people will still whine that $25 is too much.

I was speaking in general terms as well. I wish English had a casual way to distinguish between different types of 'you'. Anyway, personally I'm not a fan of whiners on either side. If someone wants to sell something and you don't want to buy it for that price, then again, too fucking bad for you.
