For stuff like that, I MIGHT click on it, but then I'll just hit the show all chapters button and then do a control + F search for my characters' names. If they're barely in the fic then I know it's not worth my time.

Usually these fics SUCK though.

That was a helpful hint, thank you - if only for finding out the relevant fics in a huge multi-drabble mess.

I've always given up in disgust before as these writers NEVER label which fandoms are in which chapters.
