I don't care if the spin-off supposedly counts as canon, I seriously don't count it as canon, at all.

Neither do I. The spinoff was only written to milk Levi's ridiculous popularity. The new characters were just lambs for sacrificing for Levi's manpain.

I *like* Levi and I still think the spinoff is a terrible waste of space.
But the eruri fans have made it into their manifesto because apparently it proves eruri is canon and also documents the wedding and kinky sex.

I wish I could find more people who like eruri but aren't in the eruri fandom. There's things in that ship I find intriguing, but none of them are daddy kink or the size difference, so I don't really fit in.

What're you into, man? There's some really good shit to be found if you wade through all the doujin-esque shit that the fandom is saturated with. I might be able to find some recs depending on what dynamics you're into, I'm neck deep in this shit and I'm not at all sorry about it, so...

(On the subject of doujins though you might like Hitomi's? They're among the most IC I've seen and Erwin & Levi's relationship is handled pretty well and subtly imo. No uguu shit in there, really.)

If you can come up with stuff, anon, I will be in your debt. It really is a pairing I like, but slogging through all the fanworks has gotten me tired of it. I'm even stalling on fics I've written for them.
1. My kingdom for Levi topping Erwin. I am not sure this is a thing that actually exists in doujin, though. I've read a few decent fics with it.
2. I don't like Levi being dependent on Erwin. I want a relationship of equals.
3. I've had it up to here with them and kink. Also tbh I'm a little tired of every fic about them going on and on about the size difference. I'd prefer attraction not based on Levi being tiny.
4. Soldiers behaving like soldiers. As in, have actual discipline and impulse control. Also both Erwin and Levi are some of the most controlled characters around, and I'd like to see more of that.

If you have any fics along these lines, I will shower gratitude upon you, anon. Doujin recs are also welcome.

until then I'm mostly stuck with rereading my own few fics... there were moments when the fandom was young when the fic was good, but fanon has kind of swept everything away now.

Welp I can't really offer you anything but I do sort of ship Erwin/Levi.

Most of my fandom-ish interactions these days are usually limited to reblogging pictures and writing fics. I didn't read the Levi spin off manga either, not sure if that counts for anything though.

Like I said, this is why I'm not part of mainstream eruri fandom XD
I have written some eruri, which I try to write in a way that makes me happy, but it's getting a bit hard to ship when I find it so hard to enjoy fanworks. Also tbh the wankiness is incredibly annoying.

The spin-off manga was... mostly mediocre. The oav is kind of worth watching for the 3dmg scenes, if nothing else. It's pretty.

Sorry for the late response just been busy.

I dipped my feet into the tumblr snk fandom and found it strange, like half the time I don't know what people are talking about. I think it's because a lot of it is a discussion based on an AU. Or people headcanoning stuff that just doesn't fit the character or world, etc.

I got into Eruri through Jearmin (which is my OTP for snk), a few people I followed for Jearmin tended to ship that too. I'm not interested in watching/reading ACWNR, though if I did it'd probably for Isabel and Farlan. I don't mind Levi, he's fine the way he is in the manga, enough that I don't think a spinoff series was necessary.

I don't really ship Eruri romantically though, but it's not limited to just Eruri (I ship Levi/Hange together as well). I feel like most of the veterans are professionals and would want to keep things as professional and work-oriented as possible.

(The 104 kids are different matter for me altogether.)
