Genki Girl female characters and Keet male characters. They're all just awful imo (to varying degrees of course, but still awful. Even characters like Kaylee from Firefly really grate on me, even though she's a pretty mild example of the trope and lacks the constant, manic excitement that many Genki Girl characters have). My least favorite character that comes to mind right now who fits into one of these categories is probably Shuichi from Gravitation (he's actually the picture on the Keet trope homepage, haha). He annoyed the crap out of me. No wonder Yuki couldn't stand him most of the time

I'm pretty sure that I enjoyed his character back when I was like 13 and it was the first BL manga that I'd ever read (it, by default, set the standards of yaoi for me. it wasn't terribly hard to beat once I realized that other BL manga existed), but I re-read some of it a couple of years ago and I was amazed at how much I couldn't stand him.
