She had a lot of potential too and then it just kind of...went away.

She wasn't fucking bland in the books though. The movies MADE her bland.

i thought she was pretty bland in the books as well. not in the beginning, but once she became the love interest.

Nah she was bland as fuck in the books. Not as bad as some love-interest characters, but still.

(Not that she's a bad character, just I think JKR didn't know wtf to do with her between 'Rons little sister is possessed' and 'Harry wants to bone her now' so she just fades into the background for a huge portion of the series. She doesn't get the dramatic, emotional moments that a lot of the other chars get to really bring her into focus.)
