:( Yea, I would've loved that.

He's my favorite romance option.

Cadash is my favorite Inquisitor option.

Why can these two things never meet? :(

(I can sort of understand why not Adaar, because my thought process upon rolling a fem!Adaar and seeing the default appearance on my first crack at chargen was literally "why is there a desire demon...Oh, okay", but the gating against dwarven Inquisitors will always and forever baffle me.)

Poor Adaar! I think there are some cool looking Qunari in game, but admit I had trouble making one I was pleased with. Had to try it three times for f!Adaar, but I liked the way she turned out.

Dwarves have always been my favorite race to play as in Dragon age though. I went through Origins at least four times as a dwarf, haha. I find their culture interesting and like height differences. Cullen/Cadash would've made my Christmas... I rolled a human for him and while I like her, it isn't as enjoyable for me. I like playing as a cute, badass dwarf. I too am rather short, so I feel a connection with them, lmao.

And Cullen is such a Disney prince that I can see why you like him. He's changed a lot from Origins, and his romance is very traditional and sweet. I enjoy it way more than I imagined!

I kind of feel like they tried a bit too hard to make the female qunari look human-pretty - you can get one that's rugged and fits the broader qunari aesthetic we've seen so far, but it's trickier than it really seems like it ought to be. I actually love the qunari background (my hierarchy of favorites goes Cadash > Adaar > Trevelyan > Lavellan, though there isn't really one I dislike), I'm just a tad bit cranky over the fact that even a character from a kind of alien species needs to default to pretty.

It's the sweet more than the traditional that really does it for me wrt Cullen's romance arc. I'm fine with romances that veer off the beaten track, but I need to buy that the characters are genuinely in love if that's what the story's trying to sell me.

Also I apparently have a thing for LIs you can play competitive games with, since my favorites in a more general Bioware sense also include Garrus and Traynor.

I didn't spend too much time looking at the defaults so I don't remember them all being pretty (but then again I'm rarely pleased with the defaults and always tweak them) but all the female Qunari I made (except the last one) looked constantly angry, lmao. I put too much bright makeup on the first two and while I feel they weren't unpretty, they didn't look like models or anything. They don't look all that alien though, no. The major difference is the horns and hair, otherwise you can give them human features.

I like sweet romances too. My favorites tend to be a bit goofy and sweet, hence why Alistair will probably always be my favorite. I was pleasantly surprised by how caring Bull came out though, so I'm very fond of that romance, but Cullen is very convincing in his love and attraction. I definitely feel like that one is one of the best in the game.

I never romanced Traynor (nothing against her, but I've honestly only played ME3 all the way through once..) but the Garrus romance was sweet. I didn't care for the way it kicked off in 2, but the scenes in 3 were way better. The chess scene with Cullen was lovely.
