I didn't enjoy Champions of the Just as much as the mage mission, despite loving Cole so very much. Although I'm really bummed you can't save poor Ser Barris and side with the mages.

Haha, I really hated Anders and Fenris when they picked on Merrill. And loved Isabela because she always stood up for her. So I get being angry enough to take Vivienne off party. It's like putting them on the naughty step for a while. I can never fully dislike any of the companions, though. I'm way too invested in being their den mother. Like, they annoy me sometimes, but they're still my unruly babies.

I love beards but hate moustaches. Or did. Dorian looks wrong without his. I imagine his morning routine is fairly gruelling, and involves the Thedas equivalent of hair curlers for the rings at the end of his moustache, and some gloriously scented pomade.

My elf playthrough is glitched to buggery :( Cullen has disappeared so I can't do his personal quest. It's apparently because I did Sera's pranks, but I'll lose about 30+ hours of gameplay if I restore from that point. I think I'll start a Qunari playthrough until it's patched.

I haven't actually talked to Ser Barris yet (outside the mission) BUT I really liked him in the mission. He was a cool, likable dude. I wish there was a way to save the mages and recruit templars, but I understand why that isn't an option. Both quests are good, both options have their upsides, I just wish I didn't feel like I was letting someone down in choosing, lol. I will probably continue to go with the mages in my future playthroughs, but for right now I'm glad I tried the templars. The only thing I disliked about that quest was the timer. (Ugh, I fucking hate timers... Looking at you, Wicked Hearts.)

Merrill was adorable but I didn't use her much in most my playthroughs. Again, not because I disliked her, just because I felt like I needed a healer which meant I kept Anders in my party. I also spent a lot of time with Fenris AND Anders in my party which was incredibly frustrating and depressing, lmao. Sometimes I just wish everyone would get along... Or at least they would be like Solas and Bull, or Bull and Dorian and work through their differences. (Maybe Viv and Cole eventually do? But I kind of doubt it...) Now that healing isn't an option I don't feel quite as constrained but I do like to have someone with barrier, and it is nice to have someone of each class in case you run across locked doors, something that needs to be magically sealed, or something that needs to be smashed, but I'm choosing my PC/LI + party carefully for that reason.

I'm with you; beards and stubble are great, but mustaches I'm not typically a big fan of. Dorian however pulls it off magnificently. That mustache is ridiculous and yet I find myself incredibly attracted to it. Good job, Dorian. (I loveee the mental image of Dorian waking up and grooming his mustache every morning, especially when the party is camping out. I can just imagine everyone grumbling for him to hurry up because they've got things to do and people to kill, and he's like, “You can't rush perfection!”)

That's what I'm afraid of... I have a Cullen romance that I've abandoned until the Sera prank bug is fixed. I want to continue with it because Cullen is adorable, but I haven't got that scene yet and want to avoid it. I'm doing my Solas romance now, but I hear his last quest is neigh impossible to unlock so I think it's bugged too... Not sure I'm going to proceed with this one for much longer either... Hopefully that will eventually be patched as well. (Annnnd I'm worried about my Dorian playthrough since some people aren't having his first quest trigger. It's only triggered one out of three times for me, but I think that's because I killed his mentor the second time (oops) and then sided with the templars without meeting him first. I don't want it to glitch.. I like this game but find a lot of stuff tedious, I don't want to redo it. :( The romances need to not be so damn buggy. Maybe I should just romance Bull again, that seems safe...)
