Secret is over a picture of a fan-wiki article for "The Creeper" from Jeeper's Creeper, near the "abilities" part (couldn't you have included that OP, because when I think the Creeper, I think DC comics).

Secret says:

When I first say this movie, it traumatized me. I never wanted to leave the house or go on old country back roads. But I eventually got over my fear with a pretty messed up, self-comforting logid:

a) since the monster doesn't get to replace them that often, he'd probably only want the best body parts (best eyes, best teeth, etc.)

I figured I'd be safe because as an ugly person, I wouldn't have much to offer (I had bad skin, glasses, pudgy, etc.).

I know that this is terrible, misguided logic, but it's always been inside my head.

Especially since I'm pretty sure 'functioning' is the only real criteria the Creeper has and rape is generally more about power than attractiveness. But if it helps, it helps.

I remember some asshole on TV Tropes ranting about how ugly the folks in some kind of rape awareness campaign were, saying that they had no reason to worry because no one would ever want to rape "hambeasts." Then the creepy nihilist started talking about how just because someone's a "hambeast" doesn't mean they don't scream the same as anyone else, and doesn't mean you can't do things to them that you wouldn't be able to do consensually.

I'm all for banning creeps, but every once in a while, I think you can get some insights from having them around. Deeply disturbing insights, but insights nonetheless.
