Should have asked me last year. With the new console releases, this year has been all about that instead of the games themselves. So many games were re-releases or ultimate editions or remastered versions of 2013 titles that my top list is just... not up to par with what I'd usually have on hand.

With that said, I'mma give my top 5.

#5 Alien Isolation. Still haven't finished this. Found it frustrating, but it's thematically consistent with the source material. Buggy as fuck.
#4 Infamous: Second Son. Lacks the charm of its predecessors, but still a solid title.
#3 Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. I actually hate putting this here, because it was about the least inspired COD ever, but the fact that it ran well and had an even competent story and mutliplayer, sadly puts it above a lot of the offerings this year.
#2 The Walking Dead: Season 2. Not as good as the first season, but still a great game.
#1 Far Cry 4. Despite network problems and patches, still the most fun I've had with a game this year. Expansive open world play (maybe even too expansive), good story, beautiful and immersive environments, lots to do in-game. Highly recommended.

With Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, how's the Troy Baker action? Because I kind of wanted to get it just for him and his beautiful voice and face.

Totally worth it. Also if you're into silver foxes, you'll love your supporting cast. Heck, even the female character isn't done offensively despite being nice to look at.
