Re: Movies!

This was an all right year for movies. There were some standouts.

#3 Big Hero 6. Touching, lovely animation, positive portrayal of nerds/science/women. Hits all the right numbers. Also very adorable.
#2 The Lego Movie. Amazing kid's movie. Kind of a tired message, but delivered in a fresh way... still faintly ironic though. Animation makes up for the morality. Plus Everything IS Awesome.
#1 Tie!

Edge of Tomorrow and Interstellar both take my number one spot, but for totally different reasons. EoT was the most fun and snappy science fiction flick that came out this year, while Interstellar was the most thoughtful, poignant, and actualizing. Both are great films. It's impossible to pick which deserved the top spot.
