I agree with every word OP. I've noticed it for a while now. Generally, femmeslash or yuri IS more respected and taken more seriously by the mainstream casual audience as well as the creative teams behind the stories. It's also more likely to become canon.

hilarious because in reality female identifying people who are into other female identifying people aren't taken even remotely seriously. it's always a phase or for male attention. i'll take this, though, and even though i don't korra i'm pretty stoked it's actually canon. it's a start.
