Sorry, I don't understand your analogy. What represents the egg? Who is telling people to cook it?

There is obviously much more to critique beyond grammar and spelling if that's what you mean?

Yes, I'm saying that a story littered with grammar and spelling mistakes makes immersion impossible for a percentage of readers. It doesn't matter if the errors are minor enough that their brains can suss the meaning. Some people's brains don't skip over mistakes without being constantly aware of them. Not all people think the same.

This, of course, doesn't speak at all to the mistakes that destroy nuance, phrasing and timing.
