Just a thought: How diverse is your style? I've seen some pretty good artists, but all of their stuff looks exactly the same as the stuff before. I don't even bother to click on their stuff anymore, because I can already picture what it looks like in my head. Same style, same poses, same everything. Not that you have to re-invent yourself every time you pick up a pencil, but a bit of diversity makes life more interesting.

Also, a bit of what everyone else has said too. I got a lot of attention as an artist when I first joined the HP fandom, and I was pretty brand new to drawing (and much of my stuff was mediocre at best) but people were starved for art, and I always had great reception to most of my stuff.

I'm a much better artist now (9 years later) but the fandoms I dabble in now don't seem to value fan art as much. I'm not complaining, I still have great followers, but it's not nearly the almost rock-star status that I had back in the day. I'm much happier with my art now, and every fav or re-blog is just an added bonus.
