Depending on what kind of fanart you do, I would say try drawing different emotions or think more about the ideas behind what you are drawing. A character profile pic is always nice, but think about making it dynamic. This is a problem I have besides general anatomical issues, but it is something I am continuously trying to work on when I have the time to spare on it.

Try to join different communities too, I find that some places only appreciate certain styles of art while others are more open. I am on DA, Tumblr and Pixiv and definitely noticed that they tend to gravitate toward different things. DA is the most universal in that you are likely to find appreciation for lots of different art styles.
