Right?? I know it was 'supposed' to be Arthur/Gwen but really? It was just terribly done. So terribly. Rewatching the flirty Merlin/Gwen eps makes me so happy.

I ended up liking Arthur/Gwen, but right from the get-go I shipped the daylights out of Gwen/Merlin (and Arthur/Morgana to a slightly lesser extent.) And really, so much of the show relied on me going "oh never mind" to the part of me that remembered my medieval lit classes--why did they not just keep making stuff up out of whole cloth? Why stick to canon when icame to things that made me sad???
