I promise you that 99% of the people in the world don't actually give a damn whether you play on easy mode or whatever and the people who would give you shit for it aren't really the kind of people with valuable opinions anyway. If that's what you find most fun and you're enjoying the game's content, then go for it, that's what the option's there for, just like how the harder difficulties are there for those who enjoy tackling them.

It doesn't matter what 99% of the world gives or does not give a damn about. If you are interested in gaming and want to participate in gaming communities, you are going to be among the 1% of the world that has dumbfuck priorities about how video games "ought to be played". And sadly, not all of those people with dumbfuck priorities have UNIVERSALLY dumbfuck priorities - sometimes they are good, decent people who are infuriating in that one particular way and it's not as easy to ignore them.

I'm not OP. I'm a different female gamer, one who isn't willing to stop being friends with my friends even though they turn into arrogant, imperious pieces of shit when we talk about Dark Souls.
