I hate that. I hate that. I HATE THAT!

Especially nine times out of ten they put modern 21st century logic on things that happen decades, if not centuries ago. Times have changed. Thinking has changed. Try to imagine the world through old eyes and not modern eyes when trying to figure out the motives of our past writers and artists.
