Yeah, it felt like they did a total reset on the relationships between season one and season two. I don't think they were intending to have Arthur and Morgana related at first - there was just too much shipping stuff between them in season one, and as someone else said, Uther. But then by episode two of the second season Arthur was suddenly head over heels in love with Gwen and it was like the writers totally wanted us to forget that Arthur/Morgana and Merlin/Gwen had ever been teased. And then there was what they did to Gwen/Lancelot. :(. It's not that I didn't expect Arthur and Gwen to end up together - of course they were going to. But I actually really didn't expect them to try to turn it into a True Love pairing. And I didn't expect them to go full evil with Morgana either, soooooo :( Let's just say I wasn't happy with much of what happened with the show past season one.

Super evil Morgana, god, NO, it really was so shitty when we had this incredibly nice personality of her's in the first seasons and then suddenly it's like, 'ok no now you're just pure evil, Morgana, sry.' what??! The turn from the little nice AU they had going on to the real historical events was so fast, it was hard to take in. Also I was totally on-board with either Gwen/Lancelot or Gwen/Merlin too, they were so awesome. Lancelot was such a badass and really sweet, it was just heartbreaking seeing him all hurt. :(

Full evil Morgana was sooooooo lame. I ended up pretty much hating her because it was constant disappointment when all I wanted was some character development that MADE SENSE. Ugh, she was my favorite in seasons 1/2.
