23- Wow I like H/G but some of the fans... I'll offer no opinion either way, but why is it even relevant? The two pairings compliment each other. They don't compete.

There is kind of a competition in fandom, it's one sided, some H/G shippers have an inferiority complex and get a bit feisty when someone praises the way J.K wrote R/Hr.

You can love H/G and hate R/Hr, but not the other way around, and if you hate H/G then you better hate R/Hr too.

I've noticed that actually. It's sort of frustrating.

But I think logistically there's no reason for the two to compete. You can like one and dislike the other and express that, but idk why does it have to be "so and so is better than so and so." It's not like they're rival ships.

I've never gotten that, actually. I'm rather anti-H/G myself, but I really like R/Hr...getting that kiss in Book 7, I was so damn happy.

I just don't get the competition between the ships...most places I visit the H/G and R/Hr shippers are bestest buds.

I'm rather anti-ship on HP, though I don't dislike R/Hr (I don't ship it either), I do hate H/G with a passion, and I've lost count of the times I got the "but if you hate H/G then you must hate R/Hr too, you're not being fair".

I don't know why some people make a competition out of it, they're like sibbling ships.

In most cases I think they are (OBHWF and all), but I've seen a bit of spite towards the other ships and it's sort of annoying. Plus there's a lot of Harry fanboys/girls that like Harry paired with every hot girl (and Ginny is amongst the hottest to them) but hate Ron so there's that.
