Who do you think I am/they are? I'm curious, 'cause if you're part of the fandom you're probably right! It was so tiny and obscure... But, really, I'd only be happy with it coming alive again if there could be less epic wank in it this time around!

Sorry to butt in, but are you the person that wrote Shenlong and Long stories (among other pairings)? I seem to remember a really hot Russian Roulette story.

It's been a long time since I've looked at Bloody Roar stories (all of the rabid Bakuryu and Uriko fans made it seem more like a cult than a fandom), but I always remember Bloody Roar having some of the better yaoi.

No, but actually that's a good schoolmate of mine! I'll be sure to tell her that you liked her fics ♥

And as for the 'cult' qualities of the fandom back then, I agree with you on that. If you weren't loving one of the three 'officially sanctioned' het pairings, you were no less than the devil himself! I think that's why I always preferred the yaoi fics so much: the writers were making-up their own ideas and writing the closest thing to really original, creative stuff in the fandom at the time.

Ah, unfortunately I can't remember the name of the person I think you are (it's been years since I set foot into the BR section of FF.net) but as for who they are... Tiger5913? :D;; Part of this depresses me since I was kind of friends with her only through FF.net, so I'm feeling guilty by association. T___T;

You're right on the money about it being Tiger5913/Christi. She was the tyrant of the fandom, really, and all who opposed her faced TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCES! Don't feel guilty by association, though. It happens in fandom all the time that people become friends or trade regular comments with people who are fandom tyrants. I think that a lot of it stemmed in Christi's case from her naturally two-faced demeanor: she would be lovey-dovey best friends with you if you liked her fanfics or agreed with her opinions, but as soon as you stepped out of line you were an enemy of good and needed to be dealt with.

I know that I sound bitter with all of that, but my current anonymity lends me a certain right to 'say it like it is' so far as my opinion goes, yeah? Anyway, it's great to talk to BR fans again now that the fandom's long enough dead that people can't remember who you are and hold grudges against you for it. We've all grown-up a great deal, I think.
