I didn't see it as an attack on trans people so much as people who introduce themselves 50 special labels. Why would you assume it was about trans people specifically?

AYRT What anon above said. In no way was this meant as an attack on trans kids, but rather the Tumblrinas of this world who apply labels to themselves like they mean nothing.

Still, having just checked the news to find out what you were talking about, I totally take your point that this seems in bad taste. Extremely bad timing on my part and I apologise.

imo the "genderqueer" spectrum, especially as envisioned by tumblr, is very different from being trans. plus I thought ayrt's joke was the protagonist's gender was a baby deer which probably represents at least a few people on tumblr
