I'm not really sure how to phrase this as a proper secret, but I've been playing Wild Arms lately, and it really strikes me how different the "My brain hurts!" moments are from such moments in other old JRPGs. Normally, when I'm completely baffled by a JRPG, I look it up on GameFAQs and have no clue how I was supposed to figure that out on my own. With Wild Arms, I can actually solve the puzzles by thinking outside the box. I feel like it shows by comparison just how user-hostile a lot of the genre used to be.

(Now if only the writing was as good as it is plentiful . . .)

Aah, Wild Arms! That's one of my all-time favorite games. ♥ You're right, it's doable without holding your hand too much. It's awesome.
