You need some toner. Bleach only strips the hair, leaving your underlying color, if I'm not mistaken. Toner neutralizes the underlying color to give it a white look. I've heard good things about manic panic virgin snow but I've never used it. I just bleached to the lightest and covered with blue purple green whatever.

I did read that, but I couldn't find any of the brands that I read recommended at Sally's (could be that I just failed at finding things, though :P), and picked up the manic panic. That does make me feel a little bit better, though, knowing that other people have heard good things about it. :)
