Aw, I loved it. I saw it as a psychological film, where the monster was a metaphor for the inner darkness within, that you can never rid yourself of but that you can come to accept and manage, like the mother and son did at the end of the film. And I thought it did that really well.

Also saw it in the cinema, and it was definitely effective on the big screen. It's impact might have been a bit diminished on a small screen.
