Not familiar with this doujin, but there are two things that are absolutely inescapable from browsing Exhentai:

1): No matter what it is, if it's Japanese, visual, and has any human or human-like female characters at all, it will have porn with the "rape" tag. This porn will include all human or human-like female characters under the age of thirty (in human years), and will have no plot other than their total degradation. (This is particularly frustrating for obscure series, which often have no other porn at all, even if the original was cute and fluffy. Kotoura-san, what have they done to you?)

2): The more badass a female Japanese character is, the more the number of doujinshi about her goes down when you exclude the "rape" tag. Actiony types get a metric fuckton of rape doujinshi, whereas kindly, feminine healers seem to mainly get raped in the doujinshi where every single female character in the series gets raped.

The source for 1) seems to be that there are some authors who skip around from fandom to fandom to write rape porn of absolutely everyone. They drop into a fandom for five minutes, degrade every single female character, and then never write in that fandom again. I'd prefer to avoid investigating the source of 2).

I would also add a few super common tropes:

- Female character is more dominant at the beginning of the sex act, usually by riding the guy, then the previously shy guy loses it (often mesmerized by her jiggling boobs) and gets to "overpower" the girl by being the one on top (or behind her) till the end, very aggressively.

I've seen this scenario in hundreds and hundreds of hentai doujin. Is it because of the stereotype of Japanese men being too shy in general, and therefore being too shy to innitiate sex? It's like the male characters - and readers who identify with them - are RELIEVED they don't have to be the ones to start it (it's often the same with kissing).

I understand there's plenty of men who like dominant women in bed but this scenario always has the guy Hulking out/going OOC midway through and finishing on top like a madman on stereoids. It's like the strong woman HAS to be overpowered in the end, no matter how much her male partner supposedly liked her dominance in the beginning. Basically, he gets to be "the man" in the end but was too scared/shy to innitiate LOL.

- If female character has a brother in canon, even if he's an unimportant sidenote character, he gets to rape her in thousands of doujin. With underage female moe characters, rape by their older brother is pretty much a given. Father/daughter rape is much less common, I assume because a lot of young male readers can't identify with a father figure, and/or get jealous of him for having sex with their fave character. I've seen father/daughter far more in Western real porn.
Sure, there's some "father"/daughter in loli hentai but that's roleplay between the molester/brother and the loli character, the male isn't actually her father.

- The more innocent and moe the female character, the more brutal the rape is going to be by the molester/random fat guy OC, as per the current trend in doujin. Male readers whine and complain about "fatsos" in doujin but they still read each and every new scanned upload! There's also the whole "If such a fat ugly guy can bang a hot chick like so and so, then I have a chance, too!" effect of the story.

- And don't get me started on the hilarious butthurt comments by men on NTR/netorare doujin uploads LMAO. They all say they hate them but netorare always gets the most reaction. The comments are funny to me because the same fanboys fap to harem doujin where the self-insert main character gets to deflower several girls who all fall in love with him, and this isn't seen as cheating or stealing the girls away or anything.

Of course, the main character only loves one girl in that lot, if any. But he gets to fuck them all because that's the fantasy. When a fatso or an old guy with a big dick or any other male character gets to fuck the same girls, it's netorare!

Guys like that always find excuses why men fucking around and stealing girlfriends from other male characters is ok ("Well, the other dude was a douchebag, anyway!" or "This isn't actualy ntr, it's just plain ol' cheating!") but scream bloody murder and get SUPER UPSET and are all "Can't even fap to this, man, the story ruined my DAY!" when someone steals the girl away from the main character they identify with.

Yeah, with rape and incest doujin being the norm, "normal" hentai or hentai with an actual story is automatically branded as "vanilla".

Okay, I have a question: Are there ANY doujinshi for straight ships in existence, where the characters are not OOC, the women don't have gigantic boobs or where there is actually *le gasp* NO SEX?
(Basically, they all look like freaking hentai)

Like, yes there are lots of OOC + 100% sex + overtly kinky/rapey Yaoi doujinshi too, but for every semi-popular couple, you can actually find some fluffy doujinshi where they only kiss or where there is actually a nice plot (!) going on.
I've never had the same luck for my straight ships (I'm not sure how it's on the lesbian ship side, since I never went looking after the straight side disappointed me so). Or are they just not being scanlated?

Very rarely but if comments are anything to go by, it doesn't get guys' rocks off. Also re: breasts, you either get gigantic boobs or flatboard ... and somehow they make it all creepy.

Have you ever seen footage of Comiket? The big doujinshi convention in Tokyo? Twice a year, half a million attendees, and a catalog of circles in attendance and doujinshi for sale the size of a phone book. Even considering the number of doujinshi that get scanned and translated, that is the barest fraction of what's really out there circulating.

A lot of things get overlooked by the people who like scanning -- sweet fluff, romantic stories, and thousands upon thousands of gag comics. (Seriously, there's quite possibly more comedy doujinshi out there than porn, but you'd never know it because 1) people don't scan them, and 2) Japanese humor can be devilishly hard to translate.) People with unacceptable kinks of one form or another are more likely to hunt down doujinshi catering to them and scan them in, because it's possibly the only gratification they can get for their kink.

For what it's worth, I'm a yuri fan, and I've found that, while there are quite a few giant-breasts, bad-characterization, all-sex-all-the-time doujinshi out there, scanners have done a better job at focusing on the ones that have genuine sweet romance or everyday affection or the like. Check out Yuri-ism or Lililicious, though they've got some bad ones, too.

Hell, just one look at Pixiv can tell you that.

It's also why most doujinshi feature women being raped by faceless entities.

Wow, how the fuck is that acceptable? I'd start raising awareness so it can be banned and ask Tumblr to bully this artist off the internet but I'm busy getting off to a yaoi doujin featuring rape by faceless entities, can someone else do it?

At the risk of getting attacked for hypocrisy... it's not the same thing. First of all, the faceless rapist trope is way more common in hentai because straight men don't want to see another man on the page. Yaoi generally includes both characters in screentime. Second of all, you will never, ever see any doujin with a female faceless rapist and a male victim. Good luck looking for that.

shota has that a lot though. and hardly ever faceless rape in yaoi is bullshit. almost every gangbang features featureless fuckers. :-P
