SA

Lol, not even. My mom accepted his sincere apology. She's done some bad shit when she was drunk too, so she understood and it wasn't a big deal.

Her being Ok with it is not the issue. He TRIED TO SEXUALLY ASSAULT HER. Her forgiveness speaks highly of her, his actions make him beyond disgusting.

Someone's never been black out drunk, I see. If OP is right in describing their husband as catatonic, then he probably didn't even know nor remember what he did, much less make any informed decision to sexually assault anyone. Dealing with someone that drunk is like dealing with a dumb animal. It's like getting mad at a dog for humping your leg.

Dogs can't choose to not be horny, though. People can choose to not get drunk.

what a stupid fucking argument

don't make excuses for a drunk idiot, he chose to get drunk

So women who are raped while drunk deserve it?

women who are raped while drunk are still the victim of someone ELSE's actions

a woman can also get drunk and then rape someone, and she is responsible for that.

People are still responsible for their actions, and still not responsible for other peoples' actions, when they get drunk. And they should keep this in mind when they choose to get drunk.

one scenario where the drunk is the perpetrator and one where they're the victim, I can see how you'd believe these analogies were compatible if you're living in your own asshole

Jesus, if he sincerely apologized and she accepted it, why are your panties in a bunch over it?

It is possible if he was blackout drunk that he honestly had no idea what the fuck was going on at that time. Maybe even thought it was his wife. I mean, without context, we don't know, and it's not exactly a good thing, but you might be elevating it beyond what it was. The mom not being mad about it is probably a good indicator this wasn't on the "unforgivable" end of the spectrum.
