I think AYRT was referring to the way Rowling revealed that Dumbledore was gay only after the series ended.

tbh I never really understood the outrage over that either. It seemed pretty obvious that Dumbledore was crushing on Grindelwald

While I was never outraged, I absolutely see why people would be annoyed that it wasn't straight up acknowledged in the canon. Just because you saw the subtext doesn't mean everyone else did, especially people who need the representation. Jk Rowling saying it was totally canon years later doesn't cut it. Neither does Bryke throwing in a subtle Korrasami scene at literally the very end and claiming it was there all along and it's not their fault if you didn't see it.

I don't wear slash goggles at all. However, the Grindelwald/Dumbledore thing was heavily, HEAVILY implied. Dumbledore was practically writing love ballads to the guy.
