What's confusing me is why Dorian and Bull are being singled out. Sera spends a couple of convos harassing Dorian about being careful how he handles his "tool" around her. Blackwall makes an offhand remark about how Cole's made it "weird" when he mentions that Blackwall's blade is bigger than his. Zevran deflected Wynne's attempts to minister to him by waxing poetic about her breasts, and Isabela fantasized about Fenris "glistening" when he was back in Tevinter. Off color innuendo has always been par for the course for DA banter, I don't know why Dorian and Iron Bull in particular is bothering people, unless they're bothered by all that other stuff, too, which is fair.

from what ive seen the same people concerned about dorian/iron bull have also been talking about sera's abusive behaviour too. i don't know much about the other examples except isabela/fenris and that was consensual without the particular abrasiveness of early banter between dorian and iron bull. but folks in the DA fandom always find something to complain about.

I've seen people get on Isabela's case because she casually sexualized what was an abusive situation for Fenris, and she's aggressive about flirting with him while his responses are mostly wry or exasperated (with one exception, I believe), until he takes up with her later. Which is just about how it goes with Iron Bull and Dorian. Probably the same people bothered by Fenris/Isabela are the ones making noise about this now.

yea that's true and i can understand why ppl wouldn't like isabela's commentary. it was pretty out of line for her and i don't often see folks talk about it (esp not as often as i've seen people complain about iron bull/dorian)
