I agree.

But for a different reason -- I just think that people have no right to condemn others when they perpetuate the same system today.

If you're going to condemn the descendants of white slaveowners (who can do fuck all to make up for what their ancestors did), you MIGHT not want to support modern slavery of children by purchasing Nestle products. Otherwise I can't take you seriously in the slightest.

And I've seen this happen SO. MANY. GODDAMN. TIMES.

or it's possible they just don't know. I haven't ever heard of Nestle using slaves, for example.

If ignorance is an excuse then you have to apply it to white people too which the type of people I'm talking about most certainly do not. Hence why I can't take them seriously and find them hypocritical.

A huge amount of chocolate comes from cacao picked by workers who, if they're not slaves, are so badly paid and work under such wretched conditions that they might as well be.
