Rhapsody in Blue and Harlem are the best songs for this, if you ask me.

I didn't realize I needed Rhapsody in Blue in my life. Thank you!

I am always happy to jazzify your life, Anon. I STILL play Rhapsody in Blue in my head when I'm dashing for a bus or having a very productive day.

Thank you for putting a name to "that one song I keep hearing small chunks of on the radio and haven't yet decided if I like it or not."

Harlem or Rhapsody in Blue?

Harlem. I'm not sure if we have a local station that would play Rhapsody in Blue. Maybe the PBS station, but on the rare occasions when I poke at it they seem more focused on classical.

My NPR station does play swing jazz late at night!

Great cure for late-night-horror-game-induced night terrors, just so you know.

I think I have kept hearing bits of it on TV commercials.

Agh! I can't listen to "Rhapsody in Blue" because it used to be the official tune of United Airlines and would play in between safety announcements and things, so when I hear it I just have intense sense memories from the 90s, and those slick plastic headphones they used to give you, and that awful airplane-air smell...

Nooooo! What a way to ruin a good song!

I will always associate Rhapsody in Blue with Fantasia 2000.

Same here.

Same. That one has stuck in my mind the longest; Fantasia 2000 was really lumpy, but the Rhapsody in Blue animation was fuckin' gorgeous.
