I for one really hope so. I imagine it will, honestly. It may not be in any way we can conceive of now (the same way fandom couldn't have conceived of LJ once upon a time), but I've noticed a lot of people are frustrated by the way tumblr is - even people who actively use it seem to get frustrated by it.
