Chrome vs Firefox

(Anonymous) 2015-01-05 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
I use Firefox. But I have lately been thinking of using Chrome. I am hesitant because of several Add-Ons I use on Firefox. The biggest are Xkit and Stylish. Both are on Chrome but they are hell to set up. Also, Xkit guy has an easier time updating on Firefox so when Tumblr fucks something up, he can fix it quicker.

Bookmarks are easily imported from one to the other (saved passwords I think as well). But is Chrome that much better than Firefox to go thru the trouble?

I use Firefox, but if you end up switching to Chrom, look into Chromium instead. It's pretty much the same thing, but open source and no Google tracking.

Switched to Chrome a couple years ago and have no desire to go back. It's far less of a memory hog and I can see exactly what's eating up memory.

I switched to Chrome some years ago because Firefox was being an insane memory hog. I still have Firefox installed and updated but I never use it because I like Chrome so much better. I might even uninstall Firefox and get Safari as my 2nd browser.

My advice: try it out and see if you like it before making a full switch.

That's odd, xkit seems to work ok on my Chrome or maybe I just got used to it...

I thought that XKit broke on Chrome? Either way, I'm sticking with FireFox.
