I'm so sorry, but you're doing the right thing. A lot of families don't like rocking the boat or having everything be awkward and uncomfortable when something like this happens but their uncomfortable feelings aren't as important as the safety of the children.

Thanks. And yeah, this family is the MASTER of not rocking the boat. Like I get it, relatives, I'm sorry you were victims too, but it doesn't just end with you. You have a responsibility NOT to feed your kids to the guy too, a responsibility that in my opinion trumps your own victimhood. And I say this as a victim myself.
