I like tumblr more than I like lj/dw. I tried for ages to get an audience on LJ, commenting and the occasional fic and didn't get anywhere and made me unsatisfied with fandom. Far more unsatisfied than when fandom was largely forum or IRC-based.

Tumblr has inspired me to be more creative, generate more content and contribute, engage with the texts more, and I've made close friends.

Different strokes, I suppose.
