Enh, depends. I did end up solving a love triangle in my fiction by having a poly arrangement, but I specifically made it as a bumpy arrangement that took some adjustment, and some learning on the part of all the parties. (All three having been friends for years by that point in the story.)

I'm all for poly relationships in fiction. But I also don't like the idea that poly solves everything. (Looking at YOU, Anita Blake!)
