I have quite a few OT3s, but I honestly didn't come to them as a "solution" for anything, it was just the dynamic that made sense to me for them. (Eren/Mikasa/Armin from Attack on Titan is a good example from my repertoire.) I feel like "solving" love triangles with a poly relationship cheapens what it actually means to be poly, and I don't like the inherent sneering superiority in people claiming it.
