Oh man SGA. I miss the show and the fandom like lots, it's still there in small doses but no-where near to the extent that it was.

Yea, it isn't entirely dead (and though I'm not really in it right now I'm glad about that) but it doesn't seem to be overtly active either. Not surprising considering how long the show has been over, but unfortunate. Some of the best fic I've read was in SGA fandom.

Yeah it's not super-active, still toddling along but much, much quieter than it used to be. Which is understandable tbh, but I do like that it's had some staying power, that can be a hard thing when there's no new content and it's been over for as long as it has.

Ha, I just remember that the SGA fandom had some truly amazing crack!fic, it was glorious.

Oh man, the crack!fic in SGA fandom was epic. There are lists around the net, but off the top of my head I can remember fic where John and Rodney were ice cubes, John and Rodney were penguins, and John and Rodney were a Unicorn and a Rainbow. (Which one was which I can't recall.)

Can you rec some? I was always a SG1 girl, so I didn't end up getting into SGA until after it'd ended and SGU had already started. I love crack fic.

I am actually going to bed after this (I have no willpower...) so I'm just gonna link the few I mentioned, but there are so many crazy SGA fics you could read them for the next month. Seriously, there's plenty of recs lists so def check those out! (I think I googled SGA McShep crack. Most the stuff I've read is McShep so if you don't like that... Sorry! You could try adding gen, instead?)

There's also the one with the tomato sauce and pea -- far and away the crackiest thing I have ever read. Can no longer find it though :(
