Small Work Victories

The person who makes me dread Tuesdays wasn't as awful as usual today!

See, I rarely ever dread people at work, but I think that's just because I can't bring myself to care, and it's probably why I'm unemployed most of the time.

I stood up to a co-worker who made me skip MY lunch yesterday so I could cover HER lunch. She tried it again today and I told her that it should be 'x' shift, not me that covers it, and that I had work to do (which was true).

lol what's the logic behind that? I assume she didn't word it like that?

Glad you stood up to her.

This particular co-worker doesn't work on logic I think... XD But no she didn't word it like that, it was like, "Oh Other Co-worker is behind and hasn't taken lunch yet, can you cover when she goes?"

Which was exactly what happened with HER yesterday so I was just honest, that I hadn't even gone for lunch yet (because I'm sort of 'extra' right now for some stuff we're doing so my lunch break time is a little more flexible) and that I still had a lot of work to do, and since her break was only half an hour that the other 12-8 person should be covering her.

Then I made sure to GTFO really quickly so she couldn't guilt me, because I am notoriously easily guilted. XD

Grats! It is amazing how interacting with co-workers can either be the best thing ever, or your worst nightmare. Just being in close proximity with the same people over a long period of time can bring out a lot of wackiness.
